Recreational Teacher and Competitive Choreographer

Alyssa Aceti is a young choreographer and dancer from Hamilton, ON who has been dancing since the age of 2. Alyssa has competed at an elite level for 18 years, completed her Vaganovna ballet exams, is proficient in all styles and has worked with world renowned choreographers such as Mitchell Jackson, Derek Piquette, Rebecca Zizek and Mathew Clarke. Additionally, Alyssa danced as an adult group member and soloist for the Team Canada Tap Team at the IDO championship and has had several students follow in her footsteps making it to the world cup themselves! She is also a recent McMaster University graduate and during her time there worked as a captain, dancer, and choreographer for 4 years on the varsity competitive team!  

 

Alongside Alyssa's 18 yearlong career as a competitive dancer, she has been working as a freelance and in studio choreographer for elite competitive students in Ontario over for the last 6 years, specializing in tap and contemporary. She has travelled all around Ontario to dozens of studios setting work and teaching many tech classes! Over this time, she has collected many choreography awards and guided her student to place at the top of categories, obtain several high score/genre specific accolades, and scholarships to prestigious dance experiences from top Ontario competitions.  

 

Moreover, Alyssa has recently become a member of the Professional Adjudicators Alliance, facilitates her classes using recognized technique methods and recognized syllabuses (ex. United Taps), has had extensive experience as a competitive dancer, with competitive classes and choreography and other various levels of dance.  

 

Overall, Alyssa is passionate, fun loving, energetic and strives to bring positivity and joy to every classroom. She cannot wait to work with all of you!
